Pharrell | G I R L | 3.3.14

“When Columbia Records presented me with the opportunity to make an album, three things came to mind. One was the sense of overwhelming honor that I felt when I realized that they were interested in partnering with me on the album that I had always dreamt of making. Two, it would have to feel festive and urgent. And three, I instantly knew it would be called G  I  R  L. I hope you like it.”

Imagine Dragons | 5 Things You Need To Know

Imagine Dragons | 5 Things You Need To Know

(l to r; McKee, Platzman, Reynolds, Sermon)

Electronic rock band, Imagine Dragons (lead: Dan Reynolds, guitar: Wanye “Wing” Sermon, bass: Ben McKee, drums: Daniel Platzman) will play The Ted on Febuary 28th. The band comes armed with tunes tailor made to induce hypnotic, fist pump accentuated, arena wide sing-alongs, that would make Freddie Mercury jealous.

Though already enjoying the trifecta of critical acclaim, popularity, and album sales, The Las Vegas quartet recently mashed itself into the consciousness of whatever unlucky souls were yet to be transfixed by one of their many hits. After a combustible Grammy performance with Compton, CA rapper Kendrick Lamar, followed by a well received Saturday Night Live encore, their apocalyptic megahit, Radioactive, can now be heard blasting from Smart Car, Minivan, Cadillac, or F-150, and nary an eyebrow would be raised.

Lucky for the 757, Imagine Dragons will be flying in at the peak of their newfound Rock Icon status. Before you’re lost in the Tony Robbins speech in song , gem, that is “It’s Time”, painfully relate to Dan’s “Demons“, or risk simultaneous whiplash and rotator cuff injury rocking out to the aforementioned “Radioactive,” here are 5 things you need to know about Imagine Dragons.
